The MBITR Velcro Insert was designed to carry different types of radios such as AN/PRC-148, AN/PRC-152, medium sized civilian radios such as Motorola XTS 2500 or similar size, inside a Kangaroo front panel or cummerbunds equipped with Velcro® loop fastener.
The MIL-W-5664 or Woven type elasticized band provides an inherently conforming pressure to the content that is reliable and repeatable. The Hypalon body structure, together with the inward pressure given by the elasticized band, ensures a secure retention of the content into the pouch via superficial friction. The Hypalon fabric construction also gives an high degree of water repellency, which in wet environments and maritime applications results in higher mobility and lighter weight.
The Velcro® Ultra-Mate on the back, together with the Velcro® Velour on the front, allows the application inside front panels such as the Modular Reconnaissance Kangaroo Pouch, or on the inside of cummerbunds such as the QR Air Cummerbund or the QR Utility Cummerbund.
The MBITR Velcro Insert is supplied with upper retention through shock cord and puller, which can be released by means of a snap button to lift the radio and access the keyboard and display without having to remove the antenna or connectors.
This pouch features a built-in, double side anchor point design for shock cord, which, in combination with its semi-rigid construction, is particularly beneficial during the reinsertion of the radio ensuring a snag-free operation.
