Orthos Med Pouch

The Orthos Med Pouch is designed to allow the operator to carry an easily accessible and highly customizable Individual First Aid Kit without reducing the amount of ammunition or equipment on his chest rig or plate carrier.

The core of the project is provided by our new proprietary MPO (Multi Purpose Organizers) system, which not only offers a significant weight reduction, but also endless customization possibilities, breaking the static concept of classical medical pouches.

The pouch features 2 different attaching options:

• laser cut MOLLE backer for attaching on PALs webbing;
• YKK® zip for attaching below a chest rig or plate carrier via the V2Z Abdominal Adapter.

The tubular structure of the pouch, made of MIL-W-5664 4″ elastic band, remains attached to the load bearing equipment, while the medical content secured on two Multi Purpose Organizers 4x3 handle can be extracted with one hand from either side. Retention of the content can be adjusted at will via two lateral bungee systems, routed through the pouch and secured via ITW Nexus Cordloc.

The Orthos Med Pouch features a built-in compartment for holding nitrile gloves and a dedicated space for the tourniquet with a laser engraved identification TQ marking. The laser cut Medical Designation allows the user to pick the color basing on the circumstances, switching the insert from Hi-Vis to IR or Reflective.

Because of the high grade of modularity given by the Multi Purpose Organizers, the user can customize the content of the pouch, the placement of the items and the retention method to better fit the profile of the mission.

Just as an example here is a list of the medical items that can fit in the pouch: Z-Fold Combat Gauze®, WoundClot™, Nasopharyngeal Airway 28F with Lubricant, HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack, ARS® Needle Decompression Kit, Nitrile gloves, Israeli Bandage.
